About Me

CURRENT MISSION

We love not having a mission. Life is more flexible that way;)

ABOUT ME

My name is Zoe. My love, Jason, and I have three boys 10, 13 and 16 and one girl, 6. We are a very relaxed family who love camping, hiking, talking and laughing.

We have grown up and lived in Oregon. We like to educate our kids off the grid a bit and school our children via life instead of desks and homework. Because of the homeschooling and me working part time, our schedule is very flexible for adventures!

Jason works from home and is planning to take some time off for travels. We would love to expose our children (and ourselves!) to different cultures with the people living it, instead of the hotel experience.

PHILOSOPHY

Our philosophy is to parent, relate to others and make decisions based on whether it is loving or not. Simple as that. It is reflected in the way we treat our children and others (I hope!).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couch surfing has intrigued me since I first heard of it! We have experienced both hosting and couchsurfing and enjoyed it a lot. It makes travel so much more special.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have hosted several people now and surfed our way across the states, and in Japan.

Interests

I love knitting, photography, exploring, (some cooking!). Hubby loves computers, gaming, building things (cleaning the kitchen!;)

The boys love Transformers, Legos, gaming, crafts, camping and adventures.

The girl loves all that stuff plus dancing and dolls.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing experience was having our baby at home with just us. Jason and I delivered our baby ourselves Survivor Man style and it was awesome! So peaceful and sweet.

Teach, Learn, Share

We love to learn about other's passions and experiences, new foods, places, traditions.

We know about photography, computers, knitting, games.
