Hello!

I'm from Seattle where I got soaked to the bone and learned how to drink way to much coffee. I also learned to love the mountains, swimming, and the sky. I try to walk through this world with an open heart, open eyes, and ”yes” on my tongue as often as possible. I spent three lovely years baking in the sun of Austin, TX, took a summer/fall/winter on the move, and have recently settled into a tucked away house in Ashland, OR. I live with my partner Craig, our dog Josie, and we share the yard with a family of deer, lots of turkeys, and whoever else stops by. I've always got more questions than answers, like to sleep sometimes and sometimes to see the sunrise. Like to stay hydrated and dance a lot.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It seems to me like people and place are difficult to separate. I'm as excited to meet the people as I am to see the place, and I'm eager to share some bits of my heart and home with whoever I can.

Interests

Sunshine and music and green things and stones. Cooking anything and learning to cook new things. I make theatre and I like to write. I like to take pictures and make collages. I like to draw and sing and look at art. I dance when I can't think of anything else to do. Wandering and wondering and always a little magic. Trying to come up with new ways (big and small) to make the world a more equitable place.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach about different types of flour and how to make very good cake. I can teach about efficient lean muscle workouts. I know some feng shui and I know how to juggle. I want to learn more words and more colors and more tastes. I want to learn how to cook foods I've never eaten before. I want to learn how to sing in other languages. I want to learn the names for more plants.
