WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR HOSTS FOR OUR CRAZY BUS ADVENTURE FROM SPAIN TO MOSCOW!

Note: As I am currently living and mostly traveling with my partner, I'm adding him to my profile. The stated languages known/learning include ones that either or both of us know, and when traveling it will most likely be with him.

I grew up in Orlando, Florida but studied in Washington, DC and Seville, Spain. For my entire life, I have wanted to travel. I studied Culture and Politics, so there is almost no discussion that doesn't interest me about another country. I'm not the most skilled debater, but I do love listening to a good intelligent argument. I'm trying to improve my Spanish, French, and Russian and eventually hope to add more languages to the list. I lived in Madrid, Spain for 3 years and I am currently living in Moscow, Russia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been hosted in Spain, France and Austria and have hosted when I lived in Washington, DC and Madrid. I currently can't host in Russia, unfortunately. We LOVED hosting people in Spain and made many amazing connections, there are so many people we met that I'd love to see again!

CURRENTLY (SUMMER 2019): We are in Spain for the summer and our goal is to get back to Moscow for the upcoming school year... by bus. We want to stop a few days in many cities along the way. We'd love to meet people in any of the following cities: Lyon, Munich, Berlin, Gdansk, Kaliningrad, Vilnius, Riga.

Interests

Music - My whole family loves music so I grew up in that environment. I used to play piano, flute, and sing. I love most music but right now I'm particularly into house/techno :)

Reading

Hiking (the five times I've done various Caminos de Santiago have been life changing)- the camino Primitive in 2014, the Camino del Norte from Irún to Santiago (2016), a third Camino in 2017 starting on the Norte, continuing on the primitivo, and finishing at the ocean in Finisterre. A fourth Camino, the del Salvador in 2018 and just recently the Camino Lebaniego/Vadiniense in 2019 (I'm a Camino addict).

Springboard diving (I dove for over 8 years including two in University)

Running (long distances slowly)

Feminism!!! and reproductive rights!!! Social Justice. Not being an asshole. Intersectionality.

I definitely have gotten very into TV series in the past few years, there are so many high quality ones now! Game of Thrones, West World, Breaking Bad, Handmaids Tale, Orange is the New Black, American Horror Story, Weeds are some of my favorite as well as some Spanish ones: Casa de Papel, Vis a vis, Gran Hotel, Tiempo entre costuras, El Ministerio del Tiempo.

Deciding to move abroad after I graduated to teach English in Madrid. Living my 20s having experiences instead of savings.
