I am a substitute teacher and also do a lot of outreach work feeding and helping our homeless community. I am an avid animal lover. I love to cook. garden, and generally keep pretty active. Love trying out new locally owned places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking to experience new places and perspectives. I like being around people who know the nooks and crannies of the city- the oddities and the hole and the wall places that only locals know.

Interests

I love teaching little ones- they have so much wonder, energy and love. They teach me more than I could ever teach them. I love to cook- been told I am pretty good at it. I can cook many different ethnic dishes but my specialties are cajun, italian, indian, and thai.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music speaks to my heart and I love all kinds (except heavy metal and rap where they are screaming lyrics or talking derogatory towards women). Artists that I really love are Annie Lennox, Talking Heads, and contemporary christian (and no I am not a bible thumper- I love the positive lyrics and love that the music reflects).

Movies- Forrest Gump, As Good As it Gets, The Godfather 1,2&3, The Princess Bride, and last but not least Friday:)

Books- Anne of Green Gables, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Purpose Driven Life, The Bible
