ABOUT ME

I am open minded, very frank, funny, and enjoy life. I am always interested in new people I meet, especially if their language and culture are differents.I guess I am quite easy-going and laid-back.
I am absolutely fond of dressing up for any purpose, habbit I took when playing in my Brass band back in France, perhaps because I need not to be myself sometimes!!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to meet people from the CS community, by hosting them. I like showing them around the place I am staying in, and vice versa. This is what CS is all about: sharing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I think CS is in the way of revolutionning the way I travel, for the best, and makes me enjoy travelling alone, which I seldom did in the past.

Sports ( Handball, Squash used to do Judo and Tennis, Badminton, Kayak, Trekking, Mountain Bike, Ski, sailing), Cooking (and I do not say that because I am a French guy!! Obviously I am keen on Alternative rock in general (The Libertines, The White Stripes,The Strokes, Interpol, Radio 4, The rakes, The kooks...),and Brass Bands off course!!! I really love to hear new and original sounds, I am really open minded about that since I can listen to every kind of music, depending on my mood of course!!If you enter in my place I could be hearing as well old rock (Rolling Stones, The Who, Blondie, Creedance Clearwater, Neil Young, The Velvet Underground) as new electronic sounds(Chemical brothers, Thievery corporation, Amon Tobin, Basement Jack, Wax Taylor) reggae (Bob, The Gladiators, UB40) hip hop (IAM, NTM, Wu Tan Clan, Cypress Hill), etc..
Obviously I am definitively a French litterature reader, and I read SiFi but only great authors (Herbert, Asimov, etc..) and I like Fantasy written by Terry Pratchet or Tolkien. During the last months I have been trying to read American and English litterature (Dickens, Hemingway, etc...). I try to vary a lot what I read, depending on the time I have, and what's on my mind at the moment.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Navigate with my kayak 10 feet away from a whale and belugas in the Saguenay fjord in Quebec. Bungee Jump in Normandy (twice). Climbing a huge cathedral at dawn and watch the sunrise, drunk at 7 AM, in Nantes, France.
