Chi sono

Hi everyone :)
I'm a 22yo psychology student currently living in Warsaw. But I haven't always lived there, I'm originally from Białowieża (which is one of the most unique places in Eastern Europe), then I moved to Białystok after that was Kraków and then Portugal. Nowadays besides my studies, I work in the hostel in Warsaw as a receptionist and starting social media manager.
If I happen to have an hour or two of free time I love to cook with my friends or see a concert and get to know some new artists. If that's a day or two my skills of finding cheap tickets always come in handy :)

Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing

For me, Couchsurfing is such an incredible thing. People simply share their house and what's more important their time and attention. This idea of active openness to strangers makes me more optimistic about the world.
I hope one day I'll have more than a few square meters, so I can host as well.

Interessi

I'm intrested in all sorts of things. Travelling and learning languages must be the first thing I can think about it. But I'm also passionate about cooking, forest trips, books, photography and social media.

Musica, film e libri

I must start with the books. I mostly read non-fiction ones, so Ryszard Kapuściński is one of the most important authors that shaped my taste. To name a few here you go 'Madame' by Antoni Libera, 'The Motorcycle Diaries' by Ernest Che Guevara, 'Wind, Sand and Stars' by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, 'The Master and Margarita' by Mikhail Bulgakov, 'The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle; by Haruki Murakami, 'The Absolute at Large' by Karel Capek, 'Jazz' by Toni Morrison and many others.
Movies? I love spending my time sitting in the last row in cinemas. Some of my beloved ones are Whiplash, Amadeus, 12 Angry Men, Control, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Encounters at the End of the World, Vals in Bashir, Cold War. Oh, and basically every single one directed by Wes Anderson.
When it comes to music, sometimes it seems like I'm all over the place, but I strongly believe that what today may seem far away for music genres, actually comes from similar historical backgrounds. Lately, I found myself one day jamming to Tyler, The Creator and Death Grips and then the other one I completely lose track of time with Alexandrian choir and Coltrane.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

One Amazing Thing I've Done: for sure it must be skydiving. Or buying a one-way ticket to Portugal with only pennies in my pockets.

Insegna, impara, condividi

I can teach Polish and English. I can share my photography skills and I can always take a few photos. If you need a delicious breakfast or cake that's also possible. I would love to improve my Portuguese and Russian but truly said every language will be amazing.

Cosa posso offrire ai padroni di casa
