À propos de moi

Oh, hello there, fellow couchsurfer! Seems that you happened to come accross my profile.

A little info first: I'll be out of Krakow until about the end of September. Until then, you can catch me in Katowice, though (Silesia region).

Since I'm living in a flat where hosting anyone is not available, I do my best to offer you my company during your stay in Krakow in the hart of the city.
If you want to see some of my city, get to know a bit (or more - up to you) about its culture and history, find some lovely places to grab a lunch or a drink, feel free to write me.

CURRENT MISSION

Sharing every little bit of positiveness I can grow inside of me with everyone in our tiny planet who's opened for it. Sure, I like uncle Nietzsche and Schopenhauer (like every other young philosophy-relaed major student? Not particularly original, I know), but it's not like you're gonna notice , I promise.

ABOUT ME

Talkative (nearly overtalkative, actually), somehow dreamer slash absent-minded slouch with a little bit of overthinkingness (is that even an actual word btw? Hope so). Addicted to postcrossing and letter writing all over - want to see some awesome postcards, letters scribbled on the lap, marked with colorful stamps (including non-existing countries) from all around the world? You're welcome!
And now, for some fact worth mentioning: I got tendency to having insanely stupid ideas sometimes (not attempting to win the Darwin Award).
All in all, these are usually the things we didn't do that we regret rather than those we did (damn, that's a cheesy line, isn't it?).
But, hey...
Everything in moderation, including moderation.

PHILOSOPHY

If I feel like eating a cookie, I do so (my favourite synthetic a priori judjement, in case you wanted to know)

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Guess I'm not very original, but my aim's to find people of all origins, beliefs, hobbies etc. to share thrilling life stories and spend some great time that'll become somehow engraved in our memories. Life's just too short to spend it huddled within concrete walls (maybe except for being accompanied by a nice jar of peanut butter and the steam games supply...). Naah, I'm not that anti-social. Just have priorities with peanut butter. And steam games.
(Yup, I know it's time to get a grip!)

Centres d'intérêt

Creating and taking part in arts of all kinds and forms (or at least, trying to embrace them boldly), adding a bit of a spin with ballet (never seen a panda with both legs crooked in a pointe shoes? Try to imagine it...here, you got it!), keeping sea creatures (marimo!), collecting hats and wooden pipes, baking and sharing sweets with people around, 8-bit gaming (and beyond), looking for the spookies titles buried in the back of the library shelf, getting involved in pointless philosophicall debates with stoners, knitting socks for dogs.
Let's say I'd need about 500 years to complete all my plans.
Seems perfectly legit, right?

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

In love with Akira Kurosawa's masterpieces since childhood (because why waste time on Cinderella? Don't drop a horse's head off into my bed, Disney).
I can watch nearly every kind of movie, from smashing classics like Star Wars to cute pieces like Amelie Poulain, Spirited Away or Frances Ha. Oh, and I have a thing for sparklling movie gems of B rates such as The Toxic Avenger, Ninja Driver or widely known The Killer Shrews (so I'm not afraid of any movie challenge!).
As for books - not original again - Wittgenstein, Gombrowicz, Sartre, Kafka, Vonnegut, Souseki, Murakami, Carroll, Oe, Kawakami, Dostoyevsky, Balzac, Checkhov, Camus (insert at least hundred more names here, blah, blah)... basically, if something screams 'read me!' from the shelf, I go for it. I eat books for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Like to see the words flow by.
And if I were to talk about arts - all forms of opera, theatre, ballet and performances are welcomed; I'm opened to new ideas, excited what are the possibilities of human's creation, always willing to explore. Ready to jump into someone's dream, no matter if it took place thousands years before or just a week ago.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Mastered sleeping at the airports like a boss.
Made the sandwiches drop spread-side up.
Living without a phone (completely doable).
Wait...was that supposed to be a one thing?

But, honestly, don't hold back and feel free to ask me about anything. I'm opened for even the craziest suggestions. I can offer my free time, foodie and a will to change your stay into a happy one. The more awesome memories, the better.
