ABOUT ME

In few words... my name is Zofia, I was born in Lublin in Poland but now I live in Dubai.
I love to explore the world - visit new destinations, meet fascinating people, try amazing food, and I strongly believe that the earth is a place of beautiful diversity. I was lucky enough to find a job that enables me to travel a lot in my day-to-day life and it makes me a happy person!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

All my couchsurfing experiences where amazing so far, and I'm still keeping in touch with some of my hosts/guests. I used to host in Cracow and Lublin - it made me meet interesting people and feel like travelling without even leaving the city:) Now unfortunately I can't host as I live in the accomodation provided by my company. Ocasionally I use CS during my travels. It's a great opportunity to visit places from local point of view.

Musica, film e libri

Well.. there were too many of them to make a list. I love many different kinds of music, optimistic sounds, rock, jazz, funk, folk, basically everything depends on my mood in the specific moment. Some of artists that I love: Bob Marley, Jack Johnson, Jamiroquai, Manu Chao, Habib Koite, Gramatik and many others.

Books - I particularly like to read reportage books, that make me curious of new places. Among my favourite authors are: Ryszard Kapuściński, Oriana Fallaci, Tiziano Terzani, Orhan Pamuk, Mario Vargas LLosa, Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

I like so many movies that it's very difficult to mention just few of them. I love action movies with an interesting plot, but also impressionistic movies where more important than a plot are images (Caramel, Almodovar's filmography). I love documentaries!

Hmm.. it's gonna be much more than just one thing...
* night among sands of moroccan desert,
* spending night on the steps of ancient amphitheater in Turkey,
* sitting in the flight deck of the plane once flying over the North Pole,
* falling in love,
* grape picking in France with its never-ending flow of wine,
* Erasmus experience in Sardinia,
* driving the car from 1960s in Cuba
...and many many more...
