About Me

I'm a guy with a very calm demeanor. I enjoy working out, playing the guitar and hopefully in the future, also the harmonica. I waste too much time on random stuff. Music is life!

Currently studying at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, on the road to finishing my degree in 2016. I bounce around the country quite a bit, thanks to my trusty car.

I spend most of the week in Be'er-Sheva, therefore the couches I can offer are down there. In some circumstances I can host in Shoham, usually between Thursday-Monday.

I work as a data miner for a project that involves a computer that should be able to eventually debate with human beings.
The best part about my job is that I have super flexible hours, and only need an Internet connection and my laptop in order to work. Ideal for C.S traveling ;)

The reason why I've been a member from 2011, yet my profile seems so empty, is that I traveled and Couchsurfed with my twin brother and a couple of other friends, and we used his profile when we were looking for places to stay as a group. During that time I didn't really have a reason to use this profile, but as of now I have several plans to travel alone, so it's finally time to activate my own profile :)

With my brother and friends I have been hosted around 9 times, which spread across the U.S, Netherlands and Germany. Without exception, they were all great experiences :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I listen mostly to Blues, Folk, Classic/Modern/Progressive Rock, Indie, Grunge and all kinds of Metal, but I'm cool with anything from Classical Music to Rap. If you point a gun to my head and I have to name the essentials, it'll be Led Zeppelin, The Who, Bob Dylan, Dire Straits, The Beatles, Neil Young, and Bruce Springsteen.

Some songs I consider perfect:

Beethoven's 6th Symphony is divine!

Movies: Besides the usual stuff, I really like old Spaghetti Westerns (The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly) and Akira Kurosawa films. Tarantino for the soundtracks, Blade Runner is cool, The Lord of the Rings is epic.
Into the Wild impacted me greatly (Probably because I watched it at a weird time and place, but that's another story).

Books: A few of my favorites are: The Lord of the Rings, Dune, Shōgun, and 1984.
