CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME
My life is very busy as I'm always rushing around between work (as a piano teacher), college (veterinary medicine), my own lessons (cello and horseback riding) and a local project I have with two other friends (bringing local people to the lovely neighbourhood of Alfama).
I feel at home when I'm around animals and always get into trouble when I find one in need.
I believe a good story is the closest you'll get to the true meaning of human experience. As such, I feel comfortable just sitting around with a glass of wine and sharing memories, stories or whatever there is to tell.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I used to host mainly musicians, which allowed for some fine evenings. Image and sound quality are fairly poor, but still it might be worth it:
Here is Fernand playing after dinner, probably driving the neighbours insane.
Alejandro playing Bubamara and Angelo dancing with Bowie... :) :)
Angelo playing and Alejandro juggling.
Snake charming.
James singing White Winter Hymnal. That was worth some weeks of ear worms :)
Alvaro playing Jack's Lament.
There were many more musical moments but there's no video register to account for them. :)
Interests
Music and almost any musical instrument. Animals. Horseback riding. Good stories.

As a lover of stories I cannot name specific books. I easily fall in love with characters and tend to miss them by the end of the book.
Lately I've been reading books about animals (preferably true stories).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Playing cello in an orchestra for a new year's eve concert in a small town in Italy.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to learn how to speak Italian and mandarin.
I can teach you a bit of piano playing and let you know the basics of making sound with a cello and a clarinet. Feeling the vibration of an instrument through your own body can be something special!
