About Me

My name is Lana. I come from small town in eastern Croatia, but I've been living and studying in Rijeka for 5 years now.

I'm studying biotechnology, but I'm particularly interested in evolution, archaeology, and anthropology. In my free time, I volunteer, ride my bike, or just laze around with Netflix, a game, or a book. I enjoy traveling, but in a relaxed way, without pressure and an overly long to-do list that leaves no time or energy for enjoying and absorbing a new place, socializing, and meeting new people.

When I'm not busy with academic obligations, I take on seasonal jobs. I worked a few seasons as a cook in fast food, and last summer I tried my hand at archaeology. This summer, I plan to travel and work in America through the “Work and Travel” program for students.
