ABOUT ME

Well...
Some people call me the space cowboy, yeah, some call me the gangsta of love, some people call me Maurice, cause I speak of the pompatus of love.

No, nobody calls me that. Stolen lyrics. You got me.

Okay, the real me is just a kid who was fortunate enough to grow up on the right side of the U.S.-Mexico border. I went to college, graduated, and now I'm figuring out how to make the most of it. I love traveling as I'm sure everyone on this site does, but I'm also jealous of those who get to do it all the time.

My good qualities- I'm funny or so I've been told by other people. I am very respectful of other people's stuff, beliefs, ideas, etc. I'm very diplomatic, easy-going, and flexible. I don't like drama, but I like having a good time as long as it's not the "oh shit, I might go to jail" kind of fun. I like laughing. A lot.

My bad qualities- I am horribly indecisive. All the time and for everything. It's much easier to just go with flow instead of committing to one thing. I am a terrible speller. Just something interesting to know. Occasionally, I tend to be less than on time.

If I stay with you, you can be sure I'll take out my garbage, I'll clean up my mess, I won't steal your food or drink, I'll respect your privacy, I'll be grateful for your hospitality, I won't be crazy, and I'll try to make the most of my stay at your place.

PHILOSOPHY

Even though it's been used, and abused, and broken, and beaten, and slapped around like five-dollar hooker turning tricks on the street corner, I think the world can be still be a better place for everyone. It's just gonna take a lot of work from a lot of people.

Reading about and appreciating well-traveled people. Not in a creepy stalker kind of way, but in a looking for potential couches way. Other than that my participation has been pretty limited.

Interests

I love a lot of things. Strong coffee, draught beer, trying new food from different cultures and ethnicities, photography, exploring, belly-aching laughter, books, shoe shopping, classy cocktails, sitting on park benches, lying around on grass, tetherball, fables, tangrams, and Chuck Norris!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies- Mmmmmmm....lot-a-movies.

Music- A cup of Billie Holiday and Edith Piaf, sprinkled with some CCR, throw in a dash of Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, and the Beatles, add a sprig each of the White Stripes, the Black Keys, and the Killers, mix with a tablespoon of Son House, a teaspoon of Dusty Springfield, and a pinch of Johnny Cash, carefully fold in some Regina Spektor, some Jack Johnson, lastly sift in some Eminem and Cold War Kids, bake until it is as hot as Beyonce and allow to cool. Decorate with some Lady Gaga.

Books- I have a list of 101 classic-kindy books to read over 25 years. Barely on number 2. Although, as of right now some of my favorites are Brave New World, Things Fall Apart, The Great Gatsby, Frankenstein, and 1984.
