About Me

I grew up in Montana, near Yellowstone Park. I've been playing music most of my life. I've also spent a lot of time playing in the outdoors: hiking, skiing, kayaking, etc... I'm a fairly nomadic person. I spent several years working seasonally in Antarctica, and traveling the other part of the year. I met my husband, James, in Antarctica, and now I have a partner to be nomadic with. We have traveled together and lived all over together. We have recently settled down in my hometown of Jardine Mt (just outside of Gardiner Mt) and are planning on making this our permanent home.

PHILOSOPHY

I just want to be happy. Different things motivate me, and I'm still learning about what all those things are. Meeting interesting people, who have inspiring things to share, is one thing that helps motivate me. I definitely am a people person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love Couchsurfing. It has been a great way to meet locals when I travel. And I love having travelers stay with me when I'm not traveling. I have met some amazing people and hope to meet more as time goes on.

Interests

Traveling the world, playing in the mountains/outdoors (hiking, skiing, kayaking, etcc..), playing music, having adventures, etc.... Learning about sustainability, and figuring out how I can have a possitive impact on our environment and society.

Music, Movies, and Books

I prefer to listen to music from artists I've either met or played with. I don't watch many movies. I've been too busy to read lately... it's mostly just been travel books. I like adventure stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacking in the wilderness solo for several weeks at a time, or maybe skiing the European Alps, or working in Antarctica - they're all amazing... surviving a major earthquake was amazing, but not something I would like to repeat.

Teach, Learn, Share

Music (I've been a professional musician for years), Photography (I have a degree in Photography), Massage (I am a certified Massage Therapist, and am always looking for other Massage Therapists who want to do trades)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm always up for good conversation. I love to cook (and eat) good food. If you are a musician, I'd love to jam. If you are a massage therapist, I would love to do a massage trade.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Costa Rica, France, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Thailand, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Antarctica, United States
