I mostly host people traveling alone as it gives the best connection. Friends and siblings are also welcome. Best time of the your for Northern lights is January when it is -30C or colder. Stay for at least 2 weeks if you really want to see them. Don’t come during Christmas. The town is packed with tourists. Don’t visit Rovaniemi between September and December, because it is rainy, foggy and cloudy. People feel miserable at that time of the year. Best time of the year is Easter (March and April). That time of the year there is a lot of snow and it is Sunny. Not too cold nor too warm for the snow to thaw. For requests I never confirm more than 3 weeks prior to your visit. Couchsurfing isn’t a free hotel service. Never offer money for your stay… The site for that is AirBnB.
