About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To find a new way to enjoy life!
ABOUT ME
I live in Anchorage, AK and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon! I've lived in Europe and along the West Coast of the U.S. so I can say for certain that Alaska is by far my favorite place to live. I've studied at the University of Alaska and after dabbling in the medical field, decided to follow my love of mechanics and work in Prudhoe Bay. o. I really enjoy the outdoors and have slowly started to really explore what Alaska has to offer. I love to travel, play sports, and generally have a good time. I think tattoos are cool and would love to one day just dirtbag it as a rock climber.
PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy is don't be a bummer. Just chill, relax, and have a good time. Life is really just about your attitude.
Also, don't be afraid to try anything twice. Words to live by.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Wow..... I've finally reached the pinnacle of all the hard work and long nights of studying for school. I finally graduated from my University and now have an amazing job where I work in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. I work a 2x2 meaning, I work two weeks straight followed by two weeks off. I've been using that time off to catch up with old friends around the world, but I plan to eventually own my own place where anyone who needs a place to crash will be welcome :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had the pleasure of couch surfing around Europe, the U.S. West Coast, and in Canada. The one thing they all had in common?... Couch surfing > any other means of stay. I absolutely love the connection you get with couch surfing. I find it equivalent to being like having a friend in a foreign city and that makes the trip from an enjoyable one to a unforgettable one.
Interests
As I've had the chance to move around I've been able to really start to enjoy the subtleties of Anchorage and Alaska. I love hockey, mountain biking, hiking, mountaineering, rock climbing, home brewing, swimming, and essentially anything outside. Although my degree is in Biology, I truly love the German culture (any foreign culture for that matter) and really enjoy Anatomy and Physiology of the Human Body. I also enjoy movies. Alot :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Weezer, muse, falloutboy, and blink 182. I like alot of other bands but I don't want to have to write them all down.
Books: almost anything.
Movies and tv shows: The office, Scrubs, Southpark, House, Beerfest, Boondock Saints, Dumb and Dumber, Lord of the Rings.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The list has gotten longer as I've grown older. From sleeping in an abandoned airport to celebrating Oktoberfest to eating frog legs under a moonlit beach I've seen some great things.
Teach, Learn, Share
As I get more into outdoor activities I've started collecting books on various subjects (rock climbing, mountaineering, bike mechanics, etc.) so I can share whatever experience and knowledge about the subjects and hobbies I enjoy doing.
