About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be happy :)
ABOUT ME
I'm a friendly type and I'm (usually) happy to help others out. I enjoy some of the cosier comforts of life, such as reading and watching lots of films. But I also enjoy going out with friends to clubs/parties etc. I enjoy cafes hugely :)
PHILOSOPHY
I very much believe that people should try to promote happiness within themselves and amongst others at all times. Life's too short to be depressed/prejudiced/snide/jealous/bitter.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hope to become and involved member of the Couch Surfing network. I think it's so brilliant that the network has reinstated faith in our fellow human beings. There is far to much cynicism in the world, we need to move past it!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't had any yet, bet here's hoping for some good'uns.
Interests
I have a particular interest in japanese culture, which is why I'm very excited to be going there soon! Apart from that, just nice things. Meeting people who I can have a good conversation/a frantic dance with.

Music, Movies, and Books
I LOVE Harry Potter! (the books, not the films). So if anyone shares that, I'm sure we'd get along :)
Other than that, some of my favourite books at the moment are The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger, Hokkaido Highway Blues by Will Ferguson, the Northern Lights Trilogy by Philip Pullman.
I watch a lot of films, which range from trashy chick flicks (I very much enjoyed the Love Actually!) to proper films. Some of my favourites are Cinema Paradiso, Amelie, Bring it On, The Matrix, The Parent Trap, Oldboy, Leon, 3Iron, Memoirs of a Geisha. The list goes on...
On music I think I have genuinely eclectic taste. For example, on my iPod my most lisetened to are: Thomas Newman (his film scores are beautiful, particularly the Meet Joe Black and American Beauty soundtracks), the High School Musical soundtrack, Will Smith, John Williams (Harry Potter score), Tunng and Stephen Fry's podcast!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think to date my most memorable adventure was going to Oregon, America on a houseswap for a month when I was 10. What I remember particularly was how nice it was to stay in someone else's house and experience their life, as well as how friendly everyone was on the streets.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn about different cultures, what motivates people, how our cultures affect our personalities. In exchange I can impart knowledge about my own culture, if anyone's interested!
