I'm a quiet, calm person. Not a noisy party type. I like walking, swimming, cycling, being out in the countryside.

PHILOSOPHY

The feel of life is more important than words. The real challenge is to capture how it feels to you and convey it to another human being. Sometimes words do it, sometimes music, sometimes art.

I love music - especially classical music. If I really must have a favourite, I suppose it is Mahler, but I like Gershwin, Renaissance music, and more modern music too. Ligeti. Kate Bush. Jazz. Amy Winehouse.
I like to eat and drink healthy stuff, and I like cooking. I like chocolate.

I spent 3 weeks training English teachers in Kabul, Afghanistan.
