About Me

ABOUT ME

I have been traveling for as long as I remember, my parents took me to go hiking in the mountains since before I could walk. At the age of 3, I started to go on skiing holidays. At the age of 4 I had my first bike holiday ( 60 km per day for a week on my own bike). At the age of 12 I first visited Asia.
Since then I was hooked on world trips. I love to explore and learn about different cultures, ways of life,...

I also really enjoy food and drinks, as a Belgian I know my beers, but I also love enjoying a glass of wine with some cheese. These things were hard to get around Thailand, but I have learned to appreciate the Thai flavors and I can introduce them to you, or as close as we can get these flavors here in Belgium.

I like to talk about almost everything and I think I'm pretty easy going. My experience with couchsurfing (and other similar community initiatives) is that time always flies by when you start talking to a stranger.

If you are looking to go out to a discotheque or something, I'm afraid you are looking at the wrong profile. If you are looking for a relaxed evening with some talks, food, drinks, ... Feel free to contact me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I open my home to other couchsurfers and hope that they do the same for me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I already had some great experiences with couchsurfing, made a lot of friends but most importantly, it changed me: everytime I meet someone of a different culture, I learn something new. What's better than learning while having fun.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fainting after a wonderful descent in Switzerland. After skiing a whole day we had to hurry to get down before dark and catch the skitrain so we took the straight way down through the forest. After dodging trees we had to run towards the train, once in the train my sugar level was so low and the adrenaline was gone so I fainted!
I want to do that again however without the fainting part...

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an electronic-ict engineer (and hobby enthousiast) so I can teach some computer related topics, electronics, math,...

I like to bike so if you want to explore the roads less travelled, I can point you to some great roads.

I can also show you parts of the countryside, the way we build houses in Belgium,...

learn: photography, I just got a mirrorless (lumix gx85) and I am trying to get better at it
