About Me

Finished my BA in Warsaw, currently having gap year and enjoying London.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I'm excited about the idea of travelling to different countries and meeting people who live there. There's no better way to get to know the country, its culture and real life (not only for tourists :)). It's already been an incredible experience and I can't imagine travelling in a different way now!

Interests

Horse riding and everything connected with horses (I used to participate in show jumping competitions), other activities such as running or yoga. I have BA in History of art, so visiting museums is one of my hobbies too.
If there's an interesting concert in your city, I'd probably like to go :). I love music festivals!
I've been working in a wine store for some time, so I'd love to do some wine tourism in the future (ex. in Bordeaux or Napa Valley).

Music, Movies, and Books

A really wide range of different genres... It doesn't have to be of a particular kind if it's good! Music: mostly rock but not only, ex. classics like AC\DC, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith but also Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys, Kings Of Leon, The National, Kygo, Robin Schulz.. and many more.

Books: one of my favourite kinds are novels by 20th century American writers, such as Truman Capote, Ernest Hemingway, Fitzgerald, Jonathan Carroll but also Polish authors. I enjoy good crime stories (by Sicilian writer Andrea Camilleri are the best!) and non-fiction. And Harry Potter of course!

Movies: I love Hollywood productions, but also good European and Polish cinema. Favourite directors: Quentin Tarantino, Christopher Nolan, Woody Allen, Tim Burton, Wes Anderson

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Summer job connected with my hobby: groom/rider in the stable of champion of Spain in show jumping (and team member for Rio 2016) in Holland in 2015! During my stay there I also took part in SAIL Amsterdam - we had our own boat!

Internship at Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya in Barcelona in 2016 - working with real Picasso's works.

Had a tattoo done :P

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you horse riding if there is such an opportunity - it's a great fun and an uforgettable experience. I've been doing it since I was 4 so I know what I'm saying.

Also we can go to an art museum and I can tell you some stories about paintings and artists if you're interested. You won't read them in a guidebook ;).

What else? I work in a wine shop, so I can give you a piece of advice regarding for instance which wine you should choose to each dish (and of course I would be happy to share a bottle with you :)).

What I Can Share with Hosts

For now I don't have the opportunity to host anyone but as soon as I have, I would be happy to give people what I was given when being a surfer. Trust and generosity of my hosts were absolutely incredible and I'd love to share it with other people too!
