About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To find a place to stay; learn my new town.
ABOUT ME
You know, I've been writing these damn 'sum up your identity in several words' paragraphs for weeks now, trying to find a job and a home, and I still don't know what to write.
I'm a nice guy, drama-free. I have some vague ideas of what I want to do and no idea how to do them. I'm very open-minded and get along with almost everyone. I have a terrible sense of style. I'll update this again once I've had some coffee.
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live. Everybody has their own weird little existence, and I'm ok with mine.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm friends with a guy that once hosted some people on his couch and enjoyed it, does that count?
No really, I haven't contributed at all yet. I'm completely new to this awesome, awesome site.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A little bit of unofficial couchsurfing, staying with friends of friends and things like that. This is SUCH A COOL CONCEPT but I haven't been through this website before.
Interests
I'm a current-events junkie, I read the news every day and try to keep track of really-big-picture stuff. Global developments, policy, stuff like that.
I play the drums and love me some music. Any type will do.
I'd like to do some serious traveling all over the world, but for now I'm content to listen to stories about interesting places because I'm basically broke.
Also, I know this sounds a little weird, but I was raised around planes and airports, and I keep track of that stuff through force of habit. I trip over things when planes fly over.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Michael Clayton, the Godfather I&II, Terminator II, Idiocracy.
Music: Hell, I'll listen to anything. If you've ever heard of Yat-Kha, we need to talk.
Books: I just read "Legacy of Ashes" by Tim Weiner, I learned a lot and was entertained. Also some Saul Bellow short stories, a book by that guy who wrote "Thank You for Smoking". I'll basically read whatever I can get my hands on.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hmm....let me think on it. I'll get back to you. There are so many things out there that are amazing to me, but whether they would be to you, I don't know
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach, I guess, international politics? Current events? Basic Spanish? I don't know.
I want to learn what you know about. I'd really like to learn the basics of music and physics and some other things, but if you have something to say, I'm listening. Do you speak Japanese? Grow peaches? Maintain your own car? Paint? Cook? Watch grass grow? Let's have a beer and you can tell me all about it.
I'm happy to share what I have. But I gotta say, I'm moving to Portland light, so it's not much.
