ABOUT ME
My greatest fear is gluten intolerance. My most frequent dream is one in which a doctor tells me I must eat 8 or 9 bagels, or the carbohydrate equivalent, every day for the rest of my life. Extra cream cheese.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Been taking advantage of phenomenal hosts and other CSers, hoping to pass it along. Ready to host when back from travels!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I found out about CouchSurfing as I went through Europe with my brother and his roommate. We met CSers for coffee and drinks and it made our time and experience in each city immediately more fun and more meaningful. We met great people in Paris, Berlin, Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Helsinki - and I'm hoping to do the same for travelers venturing to New York.

Music, Movies, and Books
Roughly: Ska/Rocksteady, rock, jazz, jazzy stuff that isn't jazz, some bluegrass, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, a lot of other good stuff
I'm moving through a reading list slowly but surely of Pale Fire, Lolita, Savage Detectives, Anna Karenina, and a slew of Vonnegut novels, E.B. White and Christopher Hitchens essays, and anything strongly suggested to me by some few people I trust with these sorts of things.
I'm annoyingly critical of movies, except when they're good.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Toured the first slave castle on the gold coast where the Portuguese landed in Ghana, directly before a canopy walk over the rainforest. It was a pretty awesome afternoon
