About Me

CURRENT MISSION

experience, learn, grow, love and become!

ABOUT ME

Aloha!!!

I grew up in Hungary then moved to NY with my mom when I was 13. I was ready to commit a serious amount of years of my life to achieve a PhD in psychology when I realized how miserable and unhappy that would make me. I moved to Maui, Hawaii to volunteer on a farm for a few months and learned the values of organic farming, growing your own food, connecting with amazing people and living out of your backpack. For months after I traveled around Turkey, Greece, Ireland, England, France and Spain; working on farms, staying in intentional communities and walking the Camino De Santiago. I have since had to return to NY for two years to help out with family matters. I worked on an organic farm during that time and created a new family of amazing people. I also lived at an ashram in the winter for a few months where I became an enthusiastic little yogi for a while. I just sat a 10 day vipassana meditation in Southern California and visited friends in the area. I am planning to head South to Central and South America. Excited to see the world and travel with the simple, but very empowering feeling of carrying all of my possessions on my back. I want to meet people that live in these areas and can share their own experiences and knowledge of their homes. I want to learn, grow, experience and ultimately become what the universe intended me to be! And I'd love for you to be a part of it :)

PHILOSOPHY

That's a loaded one I'm constantly working on. In the meantime I want to share some quotes that came to mind: "how can you fail when you're purpose is to experience?" "a ship is safest at its harbor, but that's not what it was built for"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Since I will be on the road I am mainly here to surf and meet people as well as to be informed of events and happenings I may be interested in. Of course if I am in Budapest or New York or elsewhere in the world for a longer period I will surely return the favor and gladly host!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed all over Mexico and parts of Guatemala and met amazingly generous and incredibly interesting people! I am hooked and don't want to travel any other way! Also can't wait to be stay put and share my home with other surfers

Interests

I love being active, hiking, bicycling, playing sports, dancing, swimming (I have a little bit of mermaid in me, it has been said), practicing yoga, climbing trees, playing with clay or just simply touching the earth/gardening. I also admire sailing and paragliding or any other form of speedy travels that are lacking engines. I like live music and theater, connecting with people, cooking and eating healthy and feeding people with my healthy cooking :) I enjoy the simple life, living out of my backpack, sitting down to meditate to connect with that inner stillness, but also enjoy the adrenaline from skydiving, dancing or from climbing to the summit of a volcano and peeking down. I love animals!!! I like to try new things and challenge myself, but also like to laugh at myself and be a goof. I like to read and watch documentaries and inform myself, though I do believe that I am getting the best education by traveling.
