About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel as much with my husband as we can, really. I realised how much I love travelling and getting to new places. I want to go back to New Zealand as soon as possible, too - it was such a stupendous and dreamy place. Hobbiton is my most specific mission right now, since I couldn't have gone last time...

ABOUT ME

I'm small, cheerful, talkative and have "British" sense of humour; I can somewhat play the guitar and love singing, writing stories, adore books and am fond of movies and series. I think of myself as a colourful person and someone who's nice to hang out with.

PHILOSOPHY

"When you have eliminated all which is impossible, then whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm back in Budapest, staying with my mum. Can't really host people at the moment, we are in the midst of moving...

BUT I can hangout any time if someone would like to, really.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've visited Ireland and was surfing at a total stranger's house - we were e-mailing before and he was a sweetie in real life, too, so my experiences are great for starters! :)

I now also went to New Zealand and stayed with a girl from the country I am from, and it was a very good experience. I found her with a short notice and got to know a good friend in her. I hope we'll stay in touch, she was amazingly helpful and I hope one day I can welcome her in my future home when she gets the chance to visit me :)

I recommend surfing to everyone who's a beginner; know your host well and it's gonna be fine!

Interests

I love reading, watching movies, cooking, singing, playing the guitar, writing stories and poems, I like architecture and getting to interesting, beautiful new places. I'm a tour guide professionally and I'd like to study Literature in an English speaking country one day at university. I'm adventurous and love trying new things out, so this is me. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite band is Mumford and Sons but I love a lot of kinds of music; my favorite books are 'The Master and Margarita' by Mikhail Bulgakov, 'The Giver Quartet' by Lois Lowry and 'The Valley of Fear' by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle; and I love BBC's TV shows such as Sherlock or Doctor Who. I also like Supernatural, it's highly addictive - only start watching it if you've got loads of spare time guys, there is nine bloody seasons already and the tenth is almost over! :D
I love low budget films that contain deep meanings, such as Third Star, Womb, Perfect Sense or Stuart: A Life Backwards; but since I love Benedict Cumberbatch in everything I've watched the latest Star Trek movie in 3D in a theater and it kicks serious ass! My other favourite films are About Time, The Fifth Element, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (I read the books as well, but I prefer the pacing of the movies), and The Back to the Future trilogy. Soooo I've got a diversified taste and like a lot of things, I guess. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to one of the most beautiful places in the world, Dubrovnik in 2010 and seen the sea for the first time there; I would like to get to nice places like that and see more wonderful sights. In 2012 me and my ex went to a Hungarian festival called the Valley of Arts and spent two days there, we hitch-hiked and the people who picked us up were really friendly and helpful so we could get there in no time. I'm only 22 though so the real adventures are ahead I think!
Last Summer (in 2013) I've been to London and Ireland and they surely are one of the greatest parts of the world! I loved being at both two places and can't wait to travel and see them again!
Since the end of August 2014 I've been living in NSW, Australia with my significant others family and this is probably one of the most adventorous decisions I've ever made. I've been to the Opera House to a performance including a grand symphonic orchestra and 400 singers (of whom one was our friend, he invited us in the first place), and also 4 solo opera singers. It was amazing and I can't wait to go back to see another performance there again! Also... when I set my eyes upon the Ocean I realised it's my favourite colour (besides brown of course). I don't feel like going home when life is full of magnificent parrots and sulphur-crested cockatoos!
Went to NZ on my own (this was a first, I've never dared to travel alone before) and had a brief look around. It's a beautiful and strangely familiar environment to both Australian and Hungarian :) Only the weather is different - it's rather British - cold, windy and rainy. Although once the sun comes up, it burns like it does in Australia...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach people to speak Hungarian or English, or teach them how to play the guitar maybe a bit (only the basics as I'm not a virtuoso, but one tries), or I don't know.. just make them look at life with a more optimistic pair of glasses than they've got as basic.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can tell them about my country and traditions, even cook (or mix) them something traditional Hungarian, if they wish to try it. :) I can show them drinks they'd never think to try otherwise :D
