About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am still trying to take over the world... (does anyone remember Pinky and the Brain?)

ABOUT ME

Good books, fine wine, nice music, friends, nature, theater, cats, sailing, playing the piano and meeting new people. Fun, laughing, partying, dancing, good stories and laughing again.

PHILOSOPHY

There was a quite smart guy called Einstein, who once said that two things are infinite - the universe and human stupidity - and I’m not sure about the universe.
This one comes into my mind at least ten times a day...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only part-time hosting experience so far: my boyfriend hosted some really nice guys from here and there, and I accompanied them when I could.

Interests

Pretty much everything. Nature, architecture, history, world politics, music, fashion, movies, books, cooking (depends strictly on mood), home decorating, sports...

There are only three exceptions: modern arts, football and maths. I don't understand them, and honestly I don't even give a damn :D

Music, Movies, and Books

Books
Follet: The Pillars of the Earth, Tolkien: The Lord of the Rings, Martin: A Song of Ice and Fire, Bronte: Wuthering Heights, Austen: Pride and Prejudice, Marquez: One Hundred Years of Solitude, Mitchell: Gone with the Wind, Stendhal: The Red and the Black, Merle: Les hommes protégés, Poe, Lovecraft, lots of (Hungarian) poetry and tales.

Movies
Chihiro, The Green Mile, Pan’s Labyrinth, The Village, The Shining, The Sixth Sense, Requiem for a Dream, and literally everything that is medieval or 19th century, or has anything to do with supernatural, fantasy and dragon-werewolf-vampire-zombie-mystic creature stuff :D

Music
Depends totally on my mood: from Beyonce to Linkin Park, from U2 to Adele, from Rhianna to Pet Shop Boys. And Daft Punk, Rammstein, The Killers, Vangelis, Morricone. And a lot more, I guess there won't be a complete list. Ever.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Accidentally crossing the US-Canadian border with a van stuffed with Hungarian, Czech, Polish, Ukrainian, Azerbaijani, Russian and Jamaican friends - without any papers. And of course nobody believed that we were no refugees, just some stupid kids working in a summer camp in Pennsylvania, who got lost in Niagara Falls town and didn't even realized crossing the border.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach
well, there are some Hungarian words which have more then twenty letters, and are impossible for foreigners to pronounce. We can try it anyway :D

Learn
I always wanted to learn how to curse in Chinese...

Share
Besides the couch? Some great Hungarian food, nice and crazy places and events and my piano notes.
