Overview
About Me
(I am back to CS after a long time, so this entry should be updated).
And I am currently travelling in Northern Spain, so I cannot host for the moment (this is updated yet).
CURRENT MISSION
Writing stories of common people that maybe are not that common.
ABOUT ME
I was an advertising creative, but I quit and now I work mainly on stories I find around and write, and then I try to publish them. Most of them are uploaded in pablozulaica.com.
Once upon a time, I used to correct bad spelling in the streets... Yes, by pasting accent-shaped stickers. That was a personal project that became a shared movement. You can google 'Acentos perdidos'. But I got a little older, shyer and then I stopped. :p
PHILOSOPHY
A girl told me about her mom, who said: "I always pick up hitch-hikers in my car, one never knows which weird people could pick them up."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I always try to guide guests through Mexico City, especially the city center which is an open book for Mexican colonial history, plenty of oddities that I love to study, write about and share.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I shared flats with mates in Pamplona, Utrecht, Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Guadalajara and Mexico City for 11 years in total before discovering CS. Then I always had great experiences both being a guest and a host. Sometimes, hosting somebody more time than asked had been a little bit embarrasing -you know, I also work at home, some of my mates too, and concentrating is not that easy- but I definitely trust in confidence for fitting the number of days with flexibility and comprehension in case of any unexpected event. If we take a compromise I absolutely fulfill it, I share meals and rides with guests because I really like this.
Interests
Apart of books and empty sheets to write: migrations, ethimologies, heraldry, trekking, volcanoes, soccer, jai-alai, collecting licensed plates, railways, photo, biking with panniers and some other very different affairs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Cycling the Ring Road in Iceland and 'discovering' the musky tomb of a XIX Victorian traveller.
Riding a bike for 9 days along a dismantled railway in Paraguay talking with locals and getting on a real steam locomotive just before it gave up.
Getting on various long-length trains, as the Trans Siberian, or in Kazakhstan, Patagonia or The Andes.
Walk the tracks when there are no trains.
Hitck-hicking inside the Norwegian Polar Circle in wintertime.
Crossing USA with friends by car.
Hiking the Pamir Road and parts of the Silk Road.
Write a book on train journeys.
