About Me
CURRENT MISSION
The purpose of my trip is to accomplish myself- to find my deeper purpose and break down any barriers and limitations I have somehow built around me- to be a pilgrim!
ABOUT ME
I am very adventurous and live for new experiences! Early in the year, I decided to change careers from business and become a middle school special needs teacher- and with that, take a break to explore a little piece of the world- South America!! I'm a very open person and really easy to get a long with! I also love meeting new people and their ideas!
PHILOSOPHY
Everything happens for a reason- and it is up to us to find the meaning behind everyday events or the people we meet.

Music, Movies, and Books
90's Mariah all the way!! I also love to listen to good bachata and dance to salsa!
Movie- there is nothing like a good tear jerker romance, but I can always enjoy a comedy. Favorites that comes to mind are: The Holiday, Pretty Women, First Wives Club, Steel Magnolias, The Way We Were:-)
Books- hmmm- I love to read! Anything by Jodi Picoult is good. The Celestine Prophecy, The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns, The Red Tent, John Grisham novels, Sophie Kinsella series, The Pillars of the Earth. I enjoy any range of philosophical books to lighter love stories!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once, while I was scuba diving off the Carribean Coast of Colombia, I experienced this overwhelming feeling of wonder! On this specific dive, we were swimming around this huge boulder in the water, and all of the sudden, we were surrounded by hundreds of blue chromis- which are these blue/silver plated beautiful fish- they just spiraled around us where all you could see was them and their full iradescense. It was so overwhelmingly magical- looking around and capturing the scene. We kept swimming on and reached a point where the gound dropped off completely and was no more- I couldnt see the bottom of the ocean or the top- all I had was a wall to my right. It was like being the middle of this huge abyss- i cant describe to you the feeling but suffice it by saying that i was immensely humbled at getting to be a part of this under world. it was honestly one the most amazing things i have ever experienced.
Another moment that I keep with me happened back in 2010, when I decided to travel on my own for the very first time. I was in Cahuita, Costa Rica and decided to hike up to the Bri Bri waterfalls with some friends. The hike was very beautiful, walking thru streams that trickeled down the rainforest- green vines and giant trees all around. So when I got to the top of the waterfall and was able to see the jungle as a whole for the first time, my breath was taken away! I felt like I was on top of the world and all I had was love. Looking around at the cascading waters and hearing the birds singing their song, little dart frogs jumping around, and I was completely surrounded by the everlasting green of plants I couldnt begin to name off. I had not one worry in the world and any doubt in my mind vanished- I had one of those moments where I felt that I was exactly where I was suppose to be.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn more about yoga and different types of meditation!
As far as teaching, I taught an indiginous tribe in the Amazon to bake sweet breads and would like nothing more than to pass this skill onto anyone who is interested!
