About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel around the world, see all i can see, learn new languages and get used to new cultures and people

ABOUT ME

I am outgoing as soon as I am with kind and interesting people. I'd like to get to every place in the world and stay everywhere as long as possible so that i really get used to the ways of the people living there. What i'd like to do is study all my life, and i guess when real studies are over, a way to keep on learning is travelling and sharing your life with different people, which is why i'm here..

PHILOSOPHY

"I am a citizen of the world, known to all and to all a stranger." (Erasmus)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I really like the couchsurfing concept, and the fact that everytime the experience is different.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted in 2008 an Australian friend of mine; and in 2009 I was hosted several nights in Edinburgh by roommates and one night in Glasgow by a couple. I spent a few days in a very nice Spanish family in 2014 and had the pleasure to meet a retired backpacker in Andalucia in 2015. In 2016 we hosted an Australian girl traveling around the world and in 2018 I hosted a British cycling through Europe :)

Interests

I am interested in languages, people, culture, reading, music, environment, politics, sports.
I *need* nature and animals to feel right, I really enjoy going to the wild as often as I can! I love hiking, but I also like to chill out in town in the evenings :)

You might want to know that I am vegan. It's no big deal, but just don't expect me to have any animal products or flesh at home for you. If you are having any meal with me you I would be glad to share a delicious vegan dish with you :) If I'm travelling and am going to your place, I swear I won't be a problem, vegetables and/or cereals are just fine.

Music, Movies, and Books

Telling what books, music or movies i like would be too long a list, what i can say is that i love reading and i really enjoy music, i just generally don't like best-sellers and commercial stuff, although there can always be exceptions. Among others, I like docudramas and engaged movies/litterature but also fantaisy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am quite a daredevil and I like challenges!

Maybe what I am more proud of would be the day I rode my bike on almost 100kms with a really heavy backpack, from a week of camping to another week with other friends, without any physical preparation! It was really a personnal challenge and though it was dangerous, I am glad I did it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like being taught one's interests, I like sharing my own little experiences as well.
It is beautifull to listen and be listened to.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Don't be afraid to ask if I may host you.
It really depends on my schedule and activities/obligations of the moment.

I live alone, I have 3 cats and a dog but they're not always at my place, and I also regularly have stray dogs coming from Guadeloupe as I'm a pet foster family for a charity, staying some time with me before adoption.

You may explore the city on your own or we can also spend some time together, maybe show you around the city or have a drink. I personnaly like sharing dinner and have interesting conversations at that moment, but there is of course no obligation.
