Hi, my name is Emilia, but most people call me Emyla. I'm a UX Designer with Industrial Design and Art background. I love spending time in nature and explore new places in the cities. I like anything that is weird and extraordinary. I think I'm funny, creative, sarcastic and spontaneous. Oh yeah, and open-minded, like everyone on Couchsurfing :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting people, learning about their culture, hearing their stories. When I go somewhere, I really want to really explore places and the best way to do that is to meet with locals. I want to do the same thing by hosting people in my city.

Interests

I am mostly interested in design and art. I love animals, specially dogs and llamas. I spend my free time on doing yoga (my favorite asana is Shavasana ;), illustrating polish sayings, travelling, chilling with my friends, watching series and cooking. I also like to try cheesecakes in different places :D My biggest dream is to live in New Zealand a year (I hope it will come true in 2020).

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I love live music: festivals, concerts and electronic gigs. I used to be a huge Muse fan, but we all know what happened... Now I mostly listen to electronic music (I love Polo and Pan, The Blaze, Nicola Cruz, Worakls), but I also enjoy some indie rock and blues :)
Movies:
My favorite movie is "What we do in the shadows". I've seen that movie 12 times. Seriously. I think I'm in love with Taika Waititi. I'm also a huge fan of Wes Anderson and Star Wars. My other favorite movies are: Fight Club, The Prestige, Swiss Army Man and Hunt for the Wilderpeople.
TV Series/ Shows:
All-time favorite: Friends (I quote them at least twice a day, so if you're a Friends fan there's a good chance we're gonna get along), RuPaul's Drag Race, Adventure Time, Better Call Saul , Stranger Things, The OA - fuck you Netflix for cancelling the 3rd season :(
Books:
My favorite author is Etgar Keret. Other than that I enjoy books about islands, trees, animals, anything about the world that surrounds us :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sleeping on a roof of a train station.
Breaking into a swimming pool.
Volunteering on a llama farm in Bavaria.
Hitchhiking in Balkans.
Morocco road trip and sleeping in the desert.
I learned how to have a conversation about dogs in italian (and that's the only thing I can talk about in that language).

I can take you to some awesome places in Kraków that only locals know about. Just use your brain and write a personalized request :B I have a ukulele and a flute!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Wine and stories. We can also go to a techno or psytrance party. I can also take you to some of my favourite vintage shops and flea markets.
