About Me

Hey there, guys! My name is Zurab. I am a young man who is in love with this awesome life, I am always open to meet new people. My life is about happiness and sharing it with others. I've got big dreams and passion to explore this amazing world.

CURRENT MISSION

I started swimming 3 years ago (in 2015 at the age of 23) as a part of my rehabilitation when I could hardly stand on my feet because of terrible pain due to multiple hernias, protrusions and osteochondrosis. I succeeded in overcoming that. About a year ago I changed my coach and started to grow up in swimming (800m and 1500m freestyle in the pool) very fast. I realised that in spite of age I can become a professional swimmer if I try hard. It became my new passion. A lot of people around me thought that I have to become a scientist, buisnessman (especially with my prestige mathematical education) or someone like that but not a professional swimmer. A lot of people are surrounded by walls of doubt, lack of confidence and feeling that it is too late to change something in their lives and following their dreams. Now I feel like I have to compete in swimming for something bigger than myself and this is my mission for next few years. That I must compete and win to inspire others, give them hope and show that "it is never too late to be what you might have been" as George Eliott said. I have to do it, to become the world champion for everyone who don't believe in themselves, for everyone who think that they are not good enough, who think that they are losers. I hope that my victories can change their lives. A lot of people undersestimate themselves, they do not realise how awesome they are, time to change that.

WHAT I LOVE IN THIS LIFE

I love talking to new people, trying to understand their mentality, their point of view, give them something special from mine. I love singing song with guitar by the fire on a beach, I love parties and discos, but meanwhile I am fan of spending some time in silence, meditating.

Music is something that flows inside my veins with the blood. It inspires me, makes me in good mood all the tame, it's something that vibrates inside my soul and becomes the source of my euphoria, love, inspiration, motivation and power. That's something I can't describe with the words.

I am sport addict since 19 years. Yeah, I came to it a bit late. And after I restored my spine after multiple herinas and osteochondrosis I became an adequate sport addict! :D

Martial Arts, Marathon, Nunchaks, Long distance swimming - that's my passion!

I love sharing my experience (if you wish so, of course) - I don't want people to repeat my mistakes and get injured. Not only sport experience - life too. Relationship with friends, family, girls, even yourself. Now I am a happy man and I wish to share my happiness with others to stop their pain and make their life full of sunshines. :)

ABOUT BAD HABITS :)

I gave up drinking alcohol in 2015 - just that was enough for me. We say "While in other countries people start drinking at the age of 21, Russians already stop." :D But still I feel amazing in any company - drinking or not. You can drink whiskey while I drink tea and we will both feel comfortable and happy - believe me. ;) Alcohol is not main option in having fun with great people. And I'm always in a good mood for a party, so I don't need anything to warm up. :)

But it's hard for me to stand near smoking people. We luckily stopped my astma right in the begining of it when I was 15, but there is tobacco allergy left - I start choking when I feel the tobacco smoke. I would be very grateful to you if you smoke a bit far away from me, let the smoke pass away from your body, clothes and only then stand back closer. :)

------------------------------------------

There is so much to tell about me and my life that it won't fit in this box. Let me share a small part of it with you, so you can explore it! ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to explore world, meet more local people to understand local culture, the way they think. To feel it. And maybe give them something from myself. This is way too cooler than staying in a hotel. In that case it would be like you've never even visited country. CS can fix that and make your trip unforgettable.

Interests

Some people around me say that I am an inspirator - I feel gratefulness for that. That's really is the thing I love - making people realise how cool they are, what amazing things they can do and what goals they can reach. Which is more I teach maths - that's the job I love. :)

I am fan of long-distance running and swimming. One of my goals is to become an Ironman. I also love martial arts. That's something beautiful that I can' describe with words.

And I can teach you some stunts with nunchaks if you help me to find them in your place. :)

I also love being DJ (amateur) on some parties. That's like surfing - by the way I can talk about Ocean and surfing for hours. If you have never tried this sport you should try! "The spirit of surfing is inside everyone of us - all you have to do is wake it up!" (c)
