About Me

ABOUT ME

Positive guy that loves to be in society full of fun and surrounded by jokes.
Likes to travel and see everything new especially places of historical landmarks. Likes active sporting and always will be open for something new.

PHILOSOPHY

I live with a drive to uncover my potential. I live to bring happiness to other people. I live to build a fire in myself in order for other people to be able to ignite or amplify their inner flame with a help of mine. I learn not only from the things I am being thought, but most importantly from the small things many people would most probably miss. Every day is like a school and it is all about raising your conciousness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To share my life's experience and philosophy with other people and to meet interesting people who would be willing to share their view of life with me. And of course, to host people who are in need to be hosted.

Interests

As I played volleyball and beach volleyball for 9 years I will never refuse to hit a ball. Love to play basketball and football as well. As I like to see new places I really enjoy Geocaching. Like fishing and reading books. Will never refuse to drive a quadricycle. Actually there are lots and lots more things I would not refuse to do, just ask me! ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen and done many things that left me awestruck so if you want to hear some of them you should meet me in person :) Of course a can tell one of them. As that I like geocaching (go to www.geocaching.com to find out more about this game) me and friend came up on one cache that is hidden on the rooftop of former 'Rigas Miesnieks' Meat product facility which is abandoned and is located in the territory of current factory. It is massive and has three semi-detached buildings which are separated in several different squads each about seven stories high (Before I start about this one I will include that we took a warm-up cache in the middle of Rigas largest cemetery during midnight). So first of all were camouflaged in black with hats and hoods. We had to pass three fences and several guards. It was like in a movie, we were stalking between container from one shadow to another at the backs of guards and finally we got into to the building. You could easily make a plot about Soviet Zombies seeing this creepy place from the inside. Old journals and packs of dumplings were laying on the floor from late 70's. It was very hard to find the way to the stairs of final part to the rooftop especially after one of our torches died, so we had to use a lighter. We visited old elevator shafts, spooky attic and floors whit holes three stories below. We had many obstacles and one of the most common was loss of stairs (no steps at all) and loss of GPS signal. Finally, after 4 hour constant seeking we finally made our way to the roof and we took our final stairs to the most highest tower. Sun was already rising so we enjoyed the beautiful view and our victory with a smoke of cigarette. Unfortunately our comments are in Latvian but you can easily translate them. Here are few pictures of the place:

Hope you enjoyed my story how I was awestruck and I will be pleased to share my experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

Try not to miss the small things in your life. You can learn from everything. I like the phrase from "The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari" - "I refuse to live the same day over and over again and call it a life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

There are varieties of possibilities depending on what is free at the moment host is willing to stay at my place. All the time something is changing and it is always possible to stay on couch. In the best case scenario you would be offered a matress or bed. Give me a should and will let you know!
