About Me

I am a special needs teacher, and I enjoy work with people with various disabilities. At weekends you can usually find me somewhere in a forrest. I love hiking, mountains, campfires, and above all true connection with people. I consider myself to be lucky in my life, because I have many good friends around.
I share an apartment with my close friends where all our other friends are always welcome. We also host foreigners from time to time, but it is usually not through couchsurfing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that Couchsurfing is a great way how to help each other. It is a mutual enrichment. I enormously value deep, livelong friendships, but I believe that also short-term present friendships are important part of our lives, and even a short meeting with a stranger can have a huge impact on somebody's life. That's why I am on Couchsurfing. To give and to receive. To help the others without expecting anything back. Just with the little hope that this person will send it over to someone else with the same intent.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. Thanks to the Camino I realised that wherever in the world you are, you are never alone. I started walking just on my own, and I ended up in Santiago with lots of friends around.

After one month walking to Santiago I came to the conclusion, that I cannot make it alone... I cannot live alone. We all know it well, but I think that travellers are just more open to this fact, because when you travel, you are more dependent on the others, mostly unknown people. And all of a sudden you can see all the coincidences/God's interference/or whatever you want to call it/ which you can experience through strangers. And you can see the love and goodness in people's hearts which they share, because they themselves want to do it without expecting any reward.
