Overview
About Me
I'm a good-natured woman who puts her family, friends and passions ahead of everything else. As everyone in my family I have a taste for alcohol, good food and art, especially films and literature. I enjoy any intelligent piece of art from Oscar Wilde to Zombie Survival Guide, so unless you're a snob we'll get along just fine. Writing is a field I am trying to develop in.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on couchsurfing, because I believe that travelling and learning about another culture hands-on is the best way to broaden one's horizons and see the world for what it is.
Interests
Film, film, film and one more film please. My interests include filmmaking, screenwriting, event organizing and linguistics.
As language is influenced by history I am always happy to learn something about that too. Cooking relaxes me, so I don't mind getting acquainted with local cuisine either. I'm also very fond of contemporary art and music, in no case an expert , but I enjoy it immensely!

Music, Movies, and Books
Boy I could talk about movies all the time. I mostly enjoy dark comedies, grotesque and thrillers. Some of my favourite films:
- Addam's Aplles
- Delicatessen
- The Green Butchers
- Hotel Splendide
and indie movies like "Six Ways To Sunday"
Recently, during 'Black Bear Film Festival' in Warsaw I watched 'Alleluia' and it was definitely my kind of WTF.
When it comes to thrillers and dark dramas, though, I'm a big fan of Wojciech Smarzowski's work.
Generally I love post-apocalyptic themes in art. Be it writing, films, tv shows, paintings, etc. Zombie flicks are my guilty pleasure too.
Music: Everything. As a movie buff I enjoy soundtracks, but you can easily please my ears with John Legend, Bjork, Nine Inch Nails as well as classical music. :)
Books: well-written, mind blowing. I'm not interested in sparking vampires or dubious pleasure of reading about fifty shades of any colour.
Currently reading:
-"IT" by Stephen King
-"The Wanting Seed" By Anthony Burgess
When I'm down in the dumps I read Russel Brand's "My Booky Wook",anything of the Hannibal Lecter series, "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy or Stephen King's "The Shining".
Also, I love the Millenium Trilogy and everything by Zafon.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once danced with Jim Sheridan :)
Hitch-hiked on scooters to a New Year's Eve party.
Swam naked in the Atlantic at night.
Teach, Learn, Share
All people passionate about what they are doing. IMO there is not a single field not interesting enough to learn about it. Surprise me :)
Apart from basic knowledge of linguistics I also know something about film and literature, cinematography, history (although I tend to mix the dates) and how to smile on a rainy day.
I love beer! As a "liquid bread" connoisseur I am always open for discussion on the subject and, obviously, tasting the products of local breweries.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can prepare a Polish dish for you, teach you some Polish and make a writing session over wine where we take turns in developing a short story. We can also shoot our own B Class horror. :)
