PHILOSOPHY
the golden rule has served me pretty well over the years, and i figure that it's all that you really need.
I try to keep an open mind while trying to be realistic. Pragmatic.
I live my life a little out there, because it would be too boring not to!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm still a comparative newbie, but I've had a couple of really great surfing experiences. Have yet to host much, but shall see!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed with a bunch of very awesome people for my fencing tournaments and road trips
Interests
well, I mentioned most of this above, but here it is again!
fencing, which is one of the best things I have ever gotten involved with.
Baking and cooking are lots of fun, but I have the time to do them as much as I'd like.
music - I used to play the flute and to a lesser extent the piano, and am pretty rusty at both. Trying to learn banjo, currently, though it needs more time than I have to give it.
SCIENCE! :D
I also like playing D&D, twilight imperium, and a variety of board games

Music, Movies, and Books
in no particular order...
big fan of the hannibal series. the dark knight, fight club
song of ice and fire (series), the myth inc. adventures, terry pratchet, robert rankin, the Ender series', being mortal.
music I go on a song by song basis and I'm horrible at remembering the names of things...so lets just go with 'all' until proven otherwise!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have dissected an emu. It was with my 4H group when I was 11. They were always giving us things to dissect to help teach us about whatever part of the anatomy we were learning about at the time, and a local farmer had one that died so he decided to donate it to us.
Teach, Learn, Share
Oh this is so cool! :D
well I know a whole lot of sciency whatnot (especially about viruses).
I also know how to make really good chocolate malted whopper drops (which are a kind of cookie) and sour cream pancakes, though let me know ahead of time so I can bring the recipe.
I'm good at modeling things out of clay, though I've never tried to teach that to anyone.
I would love to teach you the basics of fencing, but I likely wouldn't have my foils with me so we could only get so far
I can also teach you how to do "the lawnmower"
I would like to learn to play guitar and drums.
I would like to know more about parkour
I would like to eat a tasty dish that i have never tried before
