Sobre mí

I'm lithuanian currently living in Germany. I came here to take part in so called EVS (European Voluntary Service), it's like a vuluntarly gap year to try something new. I'm working on a social project, mainly with young Germans and refugees, my tasks are to organize all sorts of events, vacation camps and some other cool things.

In my free time I like to participate in various public events (sometimes random, sometimes based on my interests) where I can meet new people, learn something and have a good time. For example every week I go to language learning meetup where I can meet new people, chat with them in German or English and practice foreign language skills while having good conversations.

I love being outdoors and doing sport atcivities like jogging, cycling, hiking. I was lucky because this summer I had a chance to lead couple of vacation camps for kids in Spain and Corsica. It was great because we used to spend most of the day outdoors playing on the beach, hiking in the mountains, jumping off a waterfall and lots of other fun stuff.

Sometimes when I just want to chill out I prefer staying home and reading a book or take my camera and go for a walk to choot some pictures in the city or in the nature (some of them you can see on my Flickr acc https://www.flickr.com/photos/zygimantas_makunas )

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I think it's a great platform that helps to connect people. I use it to find meetups and people who want to hang out. In the past I've hosted some people at my place but never stayed as a guest with other people (normally choose hostels when traveling) but definitely would like to try it out.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I'm quite good at technical stuff, I'm web developer, and in general interested in latest technologies so I could teach you something from this field (e.g. how to create a webside in many different ways, for different purposes).

I could also teach you something about sport and nutrition, I'm not a gym freak, I love excercising outdoors only using bodyweight, many of my friends are really surprised how can I stay fit all the time without going to the gym, I have +10 years experience in this so I could definitely tell you something interesting.
