ABOUT ME

Well we are a young and fun couple, with a new little baby. I am originally from the east, and she is originally from the southwest and we met working seasonal jobs in Yellowstone. We traveled around a bit together, bought a crappy house in Bozeman, MT, made it awesome, and now we are ready to take some time off from work and experience our lives again. We always enjoy meeting new people and showing them around the mountains of Montana.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe there is a mathematical explanation to the universe. Sentient existence in a physical body, helps define God through pain and suffering, thereby balancing an unimaginable equation. A multi-verse in many dimensions makes every possibility possible. Science can only fractally explain this plane of existence, by creating more questions, the deeper one looks.

We are not very religious, but pretty spiritual, and can feel ourselves feeding our souls in our travels and adventures.

We would like to host people, and to be hosted in the future, when we are financially stable enough to travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have slept on many different kinds of "couches" in ten years of backpacking and working around the world. This site has made it so easy to find a couch, meet new and interesting people while traveling, and share experiences in other places, with people who know the area! I have yet to have a bad experience couch surfing through couchsurfing.org.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

A Serious Man was the most recent awesome movie we watched. We love the Coen brothers generally... We can go on forever about movies.

Books, are mostly non-fiction, and science fiction. A lot of Terrence McKenna, and stuff like that. A lot of reference books about plants, animals, minerals, etc. We just like to be informed about our world, we really aren't that boring, I swear.

Music is pretty eclectic, but we love Led Zeppelin, Kings of Leon, Be Good Tanyas, G. Love and Special Sauce, and some random electric music like Black Moth Super Rainbow. She likes some country, but I don't touch the stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Life.

I was in Europe during the Pope's funeral, and got to see the mourning in Poland. Hundreds of millions of candles lining the streets...

I have been to Angkor Wat and contemplated the "Churning of the Sea of Milk", and seen the Killing Fields, and prison camps in Cambodia.

I have stood on the tops of many mountains, in some of the most beautiful places on Earth.

Everything is really amazing if you think about it enough... Every fold of crust on the Earth's surface, every little capillary stream, every forest like the lungs of a giant organism. We are always amazed by nature on our outdoor trips, and to know we are a part of this super being.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think we have an intimate knowledge of nature and our "greater Yellowstone ecosystem". We are both pretty talented, and can show you how to build a house (you might get to see us in the process of it), or how to make herbal tinctures.

We are very reflective people, and would like to meet like minded individuals.
