ABOUT ME

Im seventeen trapped inside a body of an old woman - what happened???
Done a fair bit of travelling – and would like to do more.
I believe Im easy going - but others think Im challenging! Im straight talking – Oh, hang on, perhaps that’s what people find challenging - but that’s a cultural thing to do with being a Yorkshire woman.
I’ve got too much to do - but find Im easily distr - was that a squirrel?
My family is husband David and two boys – John studying medicine in Sheffield, UK and Peter reading History at Lancaster UK – but off to Oregon State Uni for a year Sept 2010.
We have a large house in Stafford UK – with an even bigger garden.
Vegetarian since 1980 after reading about cattle food having concrete added to it - the cattle put on weight!!! Felt very smug when Mad Cow arrived.

PHILOSOPHY

Im rethinking this at the moment - but aiming for the one in Illusions by Richard Bach.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

would be pleased to host and hoping to surf in the not too distant future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No experience through this site – but have surfed informally including being housed by a Russian family in Israel whose mother I met on a bus. First question to me, asked in English, was “do you speak Russian?” – I don’t. However, they really looked after me and I’ve always tried to pay forward.
I’ve hosted students on work placements – offered a bed to people I have met while travelling – and would be happy to do so again.

Interessi

reading - watching tv - easy stuff nothing too heart wrenching or heavy but I do like factual/scientific/natural history stuff - whales/sharks/ stone henge etc.
Wicca.
"new" Science - or, according to my son rubbish science such as Noetic Science or Cosmic Ordering.

Cats only two at the moment but have had as many as seven.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

seen the sun rise while on top of Massada and while at the foot of Uluru. Slept on beaches and eaten a posh dinner in the desert. Flown in a Hot Air balloon with my husband over the Red Centre of Oz to celebrate our 20 year Anniversary.
