My CS mission is to experience travel through encounters with local people and their lives. Places away from major tourist routes show new places in a much more nuanced way, allowing to grok them more fully. These are the places where couchsurfers usually live.

When hosting I strive to create an environment where surfers feel safe and can fully enjoy their travels. If you're interested in seeing/experiencing more grounded local life, I am happy to share all I know.

I am a interested in learning new things and meeting new people. People say I'm kind of nice.

My wife (www.couchsurfing.com/people/zhil) and I hosted CS folks in our apartment in Brooklyn a few years back, which was super fun and very rewarding. Now we moved to Jersey City and are hosting here. Looking forward to meeting new people!
