About Me

I am just another face in the crowd; one who enjoys life, meeting new people, and exploring as many cities and cuisines as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I used to travel, there was no such platform like Couchsurfing. We had to rely on friends to ask their friends if we could use their couches for a short while. As I haven't had much time to travel in recent years, I decided to offer my couch to others. I may sound like a saint, but I'm just a guy who appreciates the kindness that has been shown to me :)

Interests

I am a bit of a sports fanatic and enjoy running marathons. When I am not running, I tend to indulge in good cinema. Eating is a passion of mine, as well as cooking. Nothing can beat home-cooked food, but I never underestimate the power of a well-prepared dish from a skilled chef's kitchen.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies... so many of them! From the surrealism of Mulholland Drive and A Clockwork Orange, to the mind-bending Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Oldboy, to the beautifully crafted Strings and Citizen Kane, to the futuristic 2001: A Space Odyssey and Lost Highway, to the thought-provoking Dogville and Empty House, and to the poetic Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring, among many others.

I also admire the works of legendary filmmakers such as David Lynch, Stanley Kubrick, Lars Von Trier, Terry Gilliam, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Woody Allen, Ki-duk Kim, and the list goes on and on...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I had just graduated from university, I found myself managing a French restaurant in a foreign country (UK) at the young age of 21, even though I didn't even know the difference between Confit de Canard and Foie Gras. I suppose you can learn anything when you have to!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an ex self-made barista and can answer any questions you may have about coffee. I love cooking and have done it professionally for a long time. I enjoy cooking for others, but I also appreciate trying out different cuisines and would love to taste your food too.

I am an amateur wine lover and a professional wine drinker! I am like the chocolate version of Cookie Monster and could, and most definitely will, eat every type of chocolate available at any given time.

Cooking and coffee. My passion about cinema.
