ABOUT ME

Hi my name is Zach! I am a professional Bicycle Mechanic, at Mission Hills Bicylce Shop as well as other various shops around San Diego county.After watching the theatrical film The Goonies, at five years old, I decided I wanted to seek a life of adventure and fun having. I have yet to equip my cave with a water slide but I still engage in many escapades that include, but are not limited to, booby traps, pirate ships, and truffle shuffles.Please come enjoy a stay. I will be glad to show you the highlights of San Diego and provide a bicycle for transport.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I wish to host many world travelers, and show them around San Diego. I have a comfy couch to share with hopes that one day in the near future when I am half way across the world I have a couch available to me.

I have yet to host, or enjoy a stay on someone else's couch but this section shall not be blank for long!

Interests

I am a full time bicycle commuter, I live and breath bicycles. I have been working on bicycles for nearly 6 years. I live my dream, I work on bikes all day, talk about bikes all day, sell bikes all day, and ride bikes all day.My specific interest in cycling are long distance touring (I have ridden from San Francisco to San Diego as well as the entire Baja Mexico Peninsula). I also race track bikes at the San Diego Velodrome.Other than cycling I enjoy backpacking, camping, skateboarding, eating veggie hot dogs, napping, having fun with friends, and saying the word "YES!"

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to all types of music, from jazz to death metal. I consider myself a film buff.I also love to read. My favorite quote is from director John Waters: "We need to make books sexy again. If you go home with somebody, and they don't have books, don't fuck 'em!”

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time, when I was about 16 years of age, I was at comic-con, the world's largest comic convention and I saw walking around the convention hall Method Man, the infamous rapper from Wu-Tang Clan.When I saw him I shouted his name, and was instantly confronted by a security guard who told me, "Method Man just wants to browse around the hall like everyone else and not be bothered."I looked at the security guard and just walked around shouting one more time, "Yo! Meth!" this got his attention."Wassup?" He Said."I got a question for you," I said humbly."Shoot!" I stood quivering my 5 foot 11 frame staring up at this 6 foot 7 in behemoth, and asked him a question in the deepest most booming voice I could muster, "Is Wu-Tang Clan something to fuck with?"And without pause Method Man replied "WU-TANG CLAN AIN'T NOTHIN' TO FUCK WIT!"Everyone around erupted in clapping and laughter, I was shining and filled with ecstacy the entire rest of the day.

My mother is a high school teacher, learning is something I value highly. We never stop learning and I want to learn everything I can while I am on this rock.
