About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm a pretty normal NPR-listening, RPGing, computer-using mid-30s guy. I enjoy hiking, eating out, reading, etc. I guess the normal things ;-) I am married and have nice family. We live in Durham, NC and like it there a lot.
PHILOSOPHY
Try to be nice. Try to raise my children such that the world will get just a little better off by their presence in it. Try not to assume. Try to talk about things openly.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I travel a lot for work, often staying in reasonably nice hotels. I frequently have an extra bed and/or a couch, and I thought I might be able to contribute to the world a little by sharing. I haven't tried this yet, and don't know if the site will work in this way, but anyway, it seems interesting.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In NYC I met up with another CSer for a day. It was really cool! I'm used to going solo on my work trips, and this was way better from both a fun and enrichment perspective.

Music, Movies, and Books
I think my favorite movie is Tombstone, and while I don't have cable or anything, I do own several seasons of ATHF and Family Guy on DVD.
As far as books, I am a big sci-fi/fantasy fan, and love Roger Zelazney, Frank Herbert, Glen Cook, Gene Wolfe, etc.
Teach, Learn, Share
Hmmm, well, I do tech support for backbone fiberoptic networks, so if you want to know about that I might be able to help you. Other than that, I am pretty good at grammar and have a degree in Asian Studies, whatever that means.
