ABOUT ME

My name's Zoe. I'm a fairly mellow individual with a kind heart (or so I've been told). I didn't have a place to live when I moved here, so I couch-surfed for a few months until I found a job and an open room in SF.

I'm just one of those chicks that wants to go for a walk through the woods and talk about why things are the way they are.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After surfing for so long, I'm excited to finally have a place to call home. I don't have an actual couch at the moment, but I do have open floor space. And a general willingness to explore San Francisco with people.

I also plan to couch-surf again in the future, most likely in Europe.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've yet to have a bad couchsurfing experience. It seems like everywhere I go I get to talk to the most interesting people about life, the universe, and everything.

Interessi

Reading, biking, wandering around the city at odd hours of the night, having great conversations, star watching, jumping in piles of leaves, playing Scrabble, reading Reddit, listening to/discovering new music...I try to keep things interesting.

Musica, film e libri

Oh, books. I adore just about any book I can get my hands on, from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy to American Psycho. And I'll always have a special spot in my heart for Lord of the Rings, Ender's Game, High Fidelity, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, Fight Club, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. But seriously, I'll read just about anything. Please, feel free to recommend something!

Hmm, movies, let me think. Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels sticks out pretty strong, as well as Charlie Bartlett, Snatch, High Fidelity, 500 Days of Summer, Pulp Fiction, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Red, Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, The Big Lebowski, Idiocracy, Priceless, Amelie and Memento.

Music, you say? I'm not one to limit myself on the endless music possibilities. I listen to everything from jazz to dubstep. Only genre I haven't gotten into is country. To list a few favorites (and I do mean few, I don't know anyone who could only list five to ten bands they like without feeling like they were missing something), Beatles (of course), Modest Mouse, RJD2, Man Man, Streetlight Manifesto, Metric, Dave Brubeck, Tom Waits, Flogging Molly, Portugal. The Man, Parov Stelar, Neutral Milk Hotel, MGMT, Sunset Rubdown, Daft Punk...etc, etc...

While I don't have any particular skills that I'm able to teach/share, I'm always willing to learn.

I wouldn't mind challenging someone to a Scrabble game, though. ;)
