About Me

ABOUT ME

I believe that people tell the truth about themselves, we just have to let them. So, I am a loving, positive person who believes in the universe. Traveling is a passion of mine that has been consistently present my whole life. I love to be spontaneous and a common catch phrase is "why not?" I love my dogs, I love my friends and I LOVE my family (which really encompasses all of the above) and I try not to take anything for granted. I recently started sporting the mohawk. In my new quest for liberation, it's really helping out. I also love yoga (ashtanga and bikram in moderation). I sing and play the guitar. And I love to cook for friends.

PHILOSOPHY

Why do I live my life? Good question. I live my life knowing that I am not separate from the rest of the life in this universe. I came to this life with a huge heart and a lot of love and my purpose is to spread my love as far as I can. That's why I live: to love. Don't let me forget it :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined couch surfing after meeting some other couch surfers, who I found to be not only interesting travelers but good-hearted, genuine, fun people. I look forward to meeting more.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I recently traveled to Puerto Rico and stayed with a fellow couch surfer and his friends. I could not have had a better time. It's the reason I joined. I also think the best way to travel is to stay with locals because the experience is more authentic. I really feel like I experience a place when staying with "friends" who live there, rather than just visit. It's a great way to meet like-minded people and make new, possibly lifelong, friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

Recent Reads: Jitterbug Perfume (a book that finds people and sets you on the path to immortality), A Return to Love (a book that literally changed my life), Eat, Pray, Love (a beautiful book), Jivamukti Yoga: Practices for Liberating Body and Soul (self-explanatory). Next: Lamb.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I jumped out of a helicopter from 15,000 feet in the Swiss Alps. Half of my body hung out of the helicopter on the way up and I was not attached to a parachute or a person. With a fear of flying, needless to say, I was ready to jump. It freed me in so many ways!

Teach, Learn, Share

Always share, always learn and always be willing to teach. You never know the many ways you can and do impact people's lives, so smile at the person on the street and say thank you. Ask how their day is going and shed positivity whenever you can. What comes around, goes around. But send love just for the sake of sending love.

Countries I’ve Visited

Costa Rica, France, Honduras, Puerto Rico, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, United States
