About Me

An oh-so-talented, tragically impoverished, charmingly bohemian lady...

CURRENT MISSION To make a difference - to improve the lives of those I come in contact with.

PHILOSOPHY I have been called open minded, and it's something I strive to be. Have you ever just stared up into the night sky... Looked at those stars and galaxies... Felt the enormity of the universe... And how very small we are in it... How can anyone claim to know the TRUTH. It's so silly that we waste our lives down here fighting over who's right and who's wrong, I want to live at peace with others. I'm non-confrontational, I try to put others at ease, in order to feel at ease myself!

Quaker philosophy and teaching is close to my heart and aligns closely with my personal priorities. Key beliefs of Quakers are equality, integrity/honesty, simplicity, peace/non-violence, community, and stewardship of the earth.

I could say that sums up what I feel is important in life. I love that so many people I meet through couch surfing share these values.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING Wherever I go, I always try to meet other CSers, or stay with them if I need a place.... I've taken a break as life got to busy and I was to much in transit to host, but now I'm generally available again for meeting up or possible hosting a stay in SW Florida. I tell everyone I know, especially traveling friends about CS :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I surfed for the first time in Bangkok and met 3 great girls through the experience. One of them came to India to travel with me! Both my former roommate in Bangalore, and my now-husband were people I first met on CS... I've met lots of awesome people, many will be life long friends for sure, some are meant to be in your life for only a short time, and leave a life long impression.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm quite a good cook, I've been told I should go on one of those cooking competitions where they get a bunch of random things and have to make a meal because I can always throw something together. (But it was my grandma who said that...) I usually prepare at least one meal for hosts, and it's something I genuinely enjoy.

I've got a knack for cutting/styling hair, and if you need a haircut while I'm couch surfing just say the word, I love to do it!

I can also do braids, dreadlocks, weave, cornrows, french braids etc, and enjoy that too, so if you host me you can end up looking like you took a trip to the Caribbean - if you like.

If I'm in the mood I might like to draw your portrait, or your dog's portrait, or whatever!
