ABOUT ME

I'm generally a pretty laid back person but I always like to learn and explore. I like to go out with friends, become educated by any means possible, play pool, spend time in the outdoors. I'm not terribly outgoing but I'm friendly.

PHILOSOPHY

We live for growth, prosperity, change, progress, wisdom and fun! I'm so happy to have met the people on CS so far who also have an open, positive and sharing outlook!!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Both hosting and surfing has been 99% awesome. I'm most def a CS addict now! I grew up traveling a lot, meeting many people, and have always enjoyed it. CS is excellent!

*UPDATE ON 1/30/11, after my first Very BAD CS experience with a dive shop* Do NOT bother meeting me if you:
1-sell services and blatantly lie about your credentials.
2-molest, sexually harass, or rape people- especially kids...and especially right in front of me.
3-steal or swindle
(I'm apparently 'judgmental' about these particular morals). I will warn other couchsurfers!
I've learned to enjoy CS, but also use caution and use review systems like the one we have on CS and PADI!

Books: Right now I'd say Into the Wild is pretty fantastic for people suffering from wanderlust or love AK. The Alaska Atlas & Gazetteer. Packrafting! By Roman Dial. All Things Wise and Wonderful. Coming Into the Country-McPhee. Above the Arctic Circle, Carroll.

Nature, building a fire(and burning dinner on a stick), swimming, hiking, gold panning, technical clothing, enjoying silence in wilderness-but I'm not an expert at anything so I teach what I can and the rest we share and learn together....

would love to learn how to cook better-especially vegetarian and health minded(I'm always battling the bulge!), snowboarding, kayaking and fixing/maintaining my Rokon? Would love to learn Spanish, German, Chinese and an eclectic mixture of random words in every language:) I enjoy teaching English if you are studying.
