I am Alena, a 36 years old artistic soul. I very much enjoy anything connected with art of any form. I am obsessed with interior design & decorations = I usually create spaces that feel "at home" - you know, places that gives you homey feeling and hug you with their welcoming atmosphere.

Beside that, I do copywriting & writing in general.

Other thing I enjoy is exploring our mind and psyché with various techniques and gifts from the nature. Psychedelics, Vipassana meditation & holotropic breathing included.

From more active things I like practicing yoga, climbing, biking, trekking, swimming, dancing.

I was used to live in Spain & Morocco. After years abroad, I felt a call to come back to my roots (at least for some time :) ).

So here I am, in Budějovice, offering you our space and a hint of our lives. I live with my Moroccan husband & our 5 years old son. We work in a Center for Self Development, a big traditional house with huge garden, surrounded by beautiful nature.

Couchsurfing has changed my life. It all started many years ago with an urge to learn English & meet foreigners & start traveling. So I found Couchsurfing. I hosted many people in my place, I made new international friendships. Without even stepping out of my country. But finally once I did. I finally used CS not only as a host but as a guest. What an experience! It brought me my husband, a very popular Couchsurfing host 😁

After long pause, I feel it's time to come back. So here I am (and so is my husband & our son), inviting you to explore my town, my country, life here & giving you our attention and care.

My husband and I are very successful and popular hosts. Years ago, Couchsurfing has been only a beginning for us. We expanded and created a DIY art hostel on the coast of Atlantic, in a Moroccan hippie town Essaouira. Beside that, we had a beautiful artsy house where we were used to welcome our guests through Airbnb platform.

Hospitality is running in our blood. We go over the moon to meet our guest's needs. We love to share our time, meals, talks, experiences. Our guests always feel at home, even though they are far from their home.

We have an amazing loft-style apartment in the heart of České Budějovice - right on the main square (that view!). The apartment is big but because of it's loft style, it has no rooms - just one huge open space. But the space is divided with curtains into parts. We can offer a couch to crash on in a first part of the place. It feels quite secluded from the other parts. Oh, and we have 80m² terrace.

We are used to share life with our guests. We don't expect our Couchsurfer to come just to sleep in our place. We are not a free-of-charge hostel. We expect you choose our place not only because of our place. But because of us!
