ABOUT ME

We are very open-minded and easy going people, who like traveling and getting know different cultures, places, people and food.

PHILOSOPHY

Anastasia:
I have many of them. In general they all mean the same: "Be happy".
Here are some of my favourite ones:
"Live it, love it or change it."
"Who is really looking for, is going to find it..."

Vojtech:
"Never say never."

"Its better to regret something you did, than something you didnt do."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We were surfing in Spain and since we live in Switzerland also hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We tried CS for the frist time traveling to Spain surfing in Toledo and Madrid. It was great experience! We met a lot of interesting people and had great time, feeling like meeting with old friends.
We were also hosting some people in Switzerland. Until now it has always been postive experience.

Interests

Anastasia:
I doooo love traveling. :) I also enjoy music, books, art, languages, meeting new people and from time to time beeing alone.

Vojtech:
See various corners of the globe. Trip to the US in 2009 and the summer job we did there completely changed my perception of traveling and foreign cultures. Sice then I am trying to catch up what I missed before.

sports, I love it. I deeply enjoy the competion and the fact, that I can forget about the rest of the world and just play. For most of my life I play volleyball and lately I also enjoy badminton and squash.

cooking for someone, alone its just boring :)

movies and TV series.

Lately we are learning to dance and it's very enjoyable experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

Vojtech:
books: I like sci-fi and fantasy literature, but I dont read them as much as I would like... (20 000 Leagues under the Sea, LOTR, Day of the Triffids)

Other part of my reading are "educational" books like Rich dad, poor dad; How to win friends and inluence people; ect. These are helping me to have my life a little bit easier.

movies:
Basically I like all movies genres, except for horror...I hate to be scared.
Here are some of my favourites: V for Vendeta, Fight club, Seven, Terminator 2, Gran Torino, Intouchables, LOTR, Warrior, American Beauty, Beautiful Mind, Leon, Million Dollar Baby, Full Metal Jacket, Bourne triology,... and czech legendary movie Cosy Dens :)
TV series: The Wire, IT Crowd, Band of Brothers, Battle star Galactica, Sherlock, Game of Thrones, The Newsroom, True Blood, Breaking Bad, Big Bang Theory, Entourage and others... :)

music: I finally experienced my first live concert :)

Anastasia:
books: 1984, Animal pharm, Sophie´s choice, anything from Oscar Wilde, Alchymist, Black swan, Pride and prejudice, books from Charlotte and Emily Bronte, etc.

music: everything what has melody

movies: depends on mood (even the horrors :P)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We met in USA working for the same company during summer. Basicaly we were running around California selling educational books door to door. So far the most challenging and amazing thing we have done together.
The most amazing thing we have seen would be probably our trip to Chernobyl and Pripiat in Ukraine. This place is definately worth seeing!

Teach, Learn, Share

Anastasia:
I would like to share one note my friend reminded me today:

Live everyday as a masterpiece. If you live one day on 50%, you can´t make up 150% the day after, because the max is 100%. Those 50% is lost forever...
