ABOUT ME
How do you say not too much and not too little. I'm easily happy with little and am very unmaterialistic, but that's easy to say if you've always had everything. I've never couchsurfed but my friends say i am cut out for it, since i get along well with just about anybody. In life, i try to live sustainably and preserving the earth is very important to me.
Quotes that I go by:
Rather than love, than money, than fame, give me truth. (H.D. Thoreau)
All the freaky people make the beauty of this world. (Read it in a psychiatric institute.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
One summer backpacking on a surprisingly unpopulated britanny coast, my friend and i ran into a local ex-army guy who taught us so many things, gave us a caravan to sleep in and served us a steaming dinner. We talked late into the night and still talk about him although it was years ago.
Interests
I like being outside, in nature or with people. Of course i live in Belgium where the weather can be described in one word: gray. So i fill up my time indoors with watching good movies, playing alt sax or guitar, and organising things for the environmental activist group i'm part of. For sports i like to climb (bouldering), hike, or bike.

Music, Movies, and Books
Some of my favorite authors are Jon krakauer, jack london, bill bryson, john steinbeck, all books that teach something about life.
I can never get tired of listening to Radiohead. But Bob dylan his jingle-jangles, the dire straits' tracks and some standard jazz or piano music are also pleasing to the ears.
International movies, especially like the ones nominated at the festival de cannes! My favorite director by far is marco tulio giordana, with his "I Cento Passi"
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A solo hike through the dolomites for four days on the crest of the mountains in early fall. Stupifying!
A concert of swedish singer songwriter: the tallest man on earth.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can give some tips on hitchhiking, or i'm good at fixing things. I learned while travelling that one of my traits of being a belgian student is that we can open beer or wine bottles without the aid of openers. I can show you what the trick is.
I'd like to learn to play the mouth harmonica better, how to sing a local song and just share knowledge!
