About Me

Hello, I am Lucas, as you already know.

Raised in Niterói (Rio de Janeiro) I became addicted to travel after go to Argentina by mylsef when I was only 17 (yep, my parents are a bit crazy - they gave me a tattoo for present in my 15th anniversary, but this is another story). So now I live for travel, to meet new people, to make friends and create stories with them.

My personal goal is to visit all countries in the world, so that will take a while.
As a person, I'm very easy going guy and free of all kinds of prejudice. I want more than this stablished world insists to offer me (work all day, sleep all night and travel one time per year), so that put in some real trouble to leave. And dont get me wrong, I love to work, I just dont belong system.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is a mix of possibilities. You can find very good friends, it gives you the opportunity to see/eat/know things the only locals can provide for u. At the same time it's a good way to save money to spend in other areas that a trip needs and also a opportunity to return the favor and receive the people who reveice you very well.

Unfortunatly is difficult to me host because I still live with my parents (don't judge me, I am nice lol - it's a commom thing in Brazil) and they don't understand much the 'strange friend' idea.

Music, Movies, and Books

That's not space enough to that. Definitly.
What I can say is that nowadays I am more into TV series than movies.
I read all kinds of books, but because I live in 'real life' I am more into books who envolves mistery or a different vision of world. And if I love people and know about them is easy to suppose that I love biographies too.
And music? Well, I am very eclectic, from Enya to Rammstein. But in general you'll find in my iPod rock of all ages, some varieties of indie music, pop and also a bit of popular music of Brazil.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's hard to choose one, but I think it's probably my trip to Chile. I was awake at night, frustrated as hell and appered on my Facebook: Tickets for Chile for only R$200. I did not have second toughts, bought it right away. Resuming: I was in Chile less than 12 hours later without any plan and no idea what to do and it became to be an AMAZING trip because of the very nice people I met.

What I Can Share with Hosts
