About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I love people, but only the good ones. I aspire to learn as much as I can. I originally started to travel because of the band I played for, then it became much more.
ABOUT ME
I love to cook as much as I love to eat... and that is a lot. I love to learn. I refuse to ever be bored, as I feel that I do not have enough time in my existence to do everything I want to do.
PHILOSOPHY
Every action has a reaction, there is nothing bad that happens that doesn't have some positive outcome. Be honest and you won't have to remember lies!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to think that I am a good host who loves good people. If you are a good person and likes to be around good people, send me a message. If the timing is right, I have a couch for you!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted many of my buddies' bands. Being on the road in a band, you learn to appreciate someone that will let you shower and cook you a good meal. I try to do the same when bands come and stay with me. I have blow up mattresses and extra towels for them, and for any other guests, really. I love to host.
Interests
Music. I am a music nerd. I love anything from 1950s rockabilly, to 1975 CBGBs/100club punk. A LOT more in between and after as well. I love to cook, eat, drink a good beer, start fires, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: David Bowie, Bauhaus, The Damned, Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Mano Negra, Gogol Bordello, Caifanes, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Carlos Antonio Jobim, The Clash, Johnny Thunders, The Sharks, The Quakes, The Stray Cats, Slim Cessna's Auto Club, Carayos, Television, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Cure, Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, T.Rex and MANY more
Movies: Snatch, Road to Perdition, the Terminal. There is a bunch more but for some reason, I feel that taste in movies doesn't say too much about someone, so I will stop there.
Books: I am a horrible reader. I start books and never finish them. I have enjoyed the Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, and Tenderness by Robert Cormier, but that is because they are short reads that I don't get a chance to put down. I am currently in the middle of a David Bowie Bio. I am only about a quarter in and I should really pick it back up. It was quite good!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have seen the Sheikh Zayad mosque, bought a bag of chips, a bottle of water, a bottle of juice, took two buses and two shuttles, traveled to Dubai, bought a tea, took a metro, went to a gold souk, bought some felafel, some shawarma, and Arabic head garment, bought a cheesecake and a slice of pizza, all for under 40 dollars and in less than 20 hours during a layover in Abu Dhabi. I was impressed.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a hard time thinking of things to put in here. I constantly have little fun facts to teach the people around me, but I feel that they aren't really things so specific that I can include in this box. I can teach people how to make vegan re-fried beans, and I am not vegan! There's a start.
