ABOUT ME

I'd rather leave it to a friend to describe me, but I guess I'm a happy person enjoying life and looking to make the best out of my time on planet Earth. Planet Earth is just amazing and even though I seldom admit it, I guess my ambition is to see every corner of the world within my lifetime ;-) Sometimes I experience an internal struggle between my ambitious side and the part of me that just wants to be free. That results in rather extensive travelling to most corners of the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a gift and every moment can teach us something if we are present rather than floating away with stray thoughts. Of course, that's what I do most of the time, but the best moments of my life is when I'm truly present in the moment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've travelled a lot and sometimes I stay with friends, but I've never stayed with other couchsurfers. Since March 2013 I've hosted some people and that's been a good experience :-)

Centres d'intérêt

Travelling is by far my favourite activity. I love to go the most remote corners of the world to feel like a true explorer.
Life really smiles when I sink below the waves diving, break the water kayaking or hike in the mountains. I love to feel the power and silence of nature, both in Norway and on my many travels around the world.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I used to read lots of thriller novels, but today I guess I'm more interested in books about personal growth, science, religion etc.
Music is wonderful when I can sit down and just focus on it. I can listen to most kinds of music, even though it's not all of it that gives me the same good feeling.
If you ask me if I've seen all the latest and hottest titles in movies or all the classics that everyone should see, the answer is no ;-) But I enjoy many movies even though I don't spend as much time on it now as I used to before.

Well, to mention a few.. Diving in cenotes in Mexico, climbing Sajama in the Andes mountains, staying on top of Roraima and under Angel Falls in Venezuela and not to mention the beautiful area in the south of Bolivia/Atacama in Chile :-)

Hmm, I have some knowledge and opinions within politics, health policies and other subjects. Don't start a discussion there unless you're prepared for my opinions ;-)
I have some work/travel experience that formed me a lot and I love to share my experiences and opinions.
I've worked in the military for many years, but please don't be afraid to talk to me about foreign policies, war and peace because of that, you might find that we share many opinions ;-) I'm also educated as a nurse and currently working on my master thesis in health promotion.
